If you are a professional actor or training to become one, the Lodestar Laboratory is for you.  Unlike a conventional acting class, here you can sharpen your skills by working intensively with other professionals to create high-quality work. Think of it like a gym for performers.

In a small company (6-8 participants) you will work closely with a professional director / musical director to apply a Stanislavski-based acting technique to scenes from a range of classic plays or musicals - a different one each month. Every participant will receive detailed, individual guidance and feedback. These weekly sessions run from 6-9pm for four weeks culminating in a private performance of the work.

Two Labs are available. Scene Lab (run by Max Rubin) and Musical Scene Lab (run by Ruth Alexander). Places are limited and entry is by application. The price is $150.00 per person, per play. Both labs take place at FAVA.
